Your message is public and permanent. That's not a privacy setting we chose — it's the product. Anything you write appears on the clock and in the public ledger, and is copied into a public archive that is designed to survive us. Write accordingly.
Card numbers, bank details, billing addresses. Payments run entirely through Stripe; we receive a confirmation and your email address, nothing else. See Stripe's privacy policy.
That's the complete list. We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't run advertising trackers or third-party cookies of any kind on this site.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and where from. It doesn't use cookies or any other client-side storage, doesn't fingerprint your device, and doesn't track you individually across visits or across other sites — Cloudflare built it specifically not to identify anyone. What we see is aggregate: page view counts, rough geography, page performance. We don't see who you are.
Cloudflare, as our host, necessarily handles your IP address to route every request to this site — true of any host on the internet, and separate from analytics, which doesn't use it to identify or track you. See Cloudflare's own documentation on what Web Analytics collects.
Messages: permanently — that's what you bought. Email addresses: as long as we're running, so we can contact you about your minute — including if it ever has to be removed — and as long as required for tax and accounting records.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct your email address, or ask us to delete it, at hello@onthisminute.com.
Deleting your email address does not remove your published message — that's a permanent public record, and it's the thing you purchased. For message removal see the terms. Because the archive is mirrored publicly, we cannot guarantee removal from copies that already exist elsewhere.
Deleting it also means we can no longer reach you about your minute. If we ever have to take a message down — because we're required to, or because it turns out to identify someone — we tell the person who bought it and refund them. Without an address we can only do the second. Stripe keeps its own record of the payment, so a refund still reaches you through them, but the explanation won't.
That's the trade, and it's yours to make. If you'd rather we didn't hold your address, ask and we'll delete it.
This site isn't intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted a message, email us and we'll remove it.
