One minute of the calendar year, and the right to have up to 140 characters of plain text displayed on that minute. There are 525,600 of them. February 29th is not included and has no minutes.

You are buying a listing on this site. You are not buying the time itself, any trademark, any ownership of a date, or any asset that can be resold.
Your message goes into the public record and appears in the ledger and on the clock. This is not optional and cannot be switched off — it's the thing being sold. Do not submit anything you would not want read by strangers, indefinitely.
Separately, and only if you tick the box at checkout, we may also post your minute on our own social accounts or share it with press. That is off by default.
A minute is personal to the buyer. It cannot be sold, transferred, gifted to another account, or traded. We don't operate a secondary market and won't recognize one. This exists so that the only reason to buy a minute is that you want it.
You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting it you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, display, archive, and mirror it as part of this site and its public archive.
This license has to be perpetual for the archive to work. The whole promise is that the record outlives us, and that requires the right to keep copies in public places we don't control.
You confirm the message is yours to submit, and that publishing it won't infringe anyone's rights or identify a private person without their consent.
Messages are screened before payment. We refuse slurs and hate speech, sexual content, threats, harassment of an identifiable person, private contact details, advertising or promotion, impersonation, and links or web addresses of any kind. Plain text only — no markup, no images.
We may refuse anything else at our discretion. If we refuse before payment you aren't charged; if we refuse after, you're refunded in full. See the refund policy.
We'll remove a message where we're legally required to, or where it turns out to identify or endanger someone. We may also remove anything that breaches section 5 and was missed at review.
Because the archive is mirrored publicly and is designed to survive us, we can remove a message from this site but cannot guarantee removal from copies that already exist elsewhere. Please take that into account before submitting.
A small number of minutes are held back for a closing auction, and a smaller number are never for sale at any price. Both are counted publicly in the ledger, and the auction lots are listed in full. We may adjust these lists, but we will not reserve a minute that already belongs to someone.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are in US dollars and include no recurring charge — one payment, once.
We'll make reasonable efforts to keep this site running and the archive published, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing here reduces your statutory rights.
We may update these terms. Changes apply from the date at the top and won't retroactively affect a minute you've already bought, except where a change is needed for legal or safety reasons.
